The service offers measurement, testing, and analysis of drones for setup, regular inspection, and risk assessment of the specific drone platform. In the Drone Lab, technical tests are carried out to document key flight- and safety-related properties such as lifting capacity, maximum take-off weight, flight time, energy consumption, mass distribution, fault handling, and the performance of positioning and Sense & Avoid systems. The purpose is to provide drone developers and other professional users with a documented basis for assessing, optimizing, and validating their drone solutions before further use, operation, or development.
Expected results: A documented test and analysis report for the specific drone, including measurement results, assessment of flight- and safety-related properties, and recommendations for optimization, risk assessment, or further development.
Methodology: The service is delivered as a laboratory-based test process in the Drone Lab including measurement of lifting capacity, flight time, energy consumption, mass and center of gravity, as well as testing of fault handling, positioning technologies, and Sense & Avoid systems, followed by documentation and assessment.
