This was evident on Thursday, Oct. 31, during the first round table meeting “AI applications in the (high-tech) manufacturing industry,” organized by AI Matters EU consortium partners Brainport Industries, TNO and Eindhoven University of Technology.
During the roundtable sessions, AI technology providers and system integrators were paired with manufacturing companies to engage in a conversation about the role AI can play in addressing their challenges and needs.
For example; quality control, vision technology, (multi-deployable) robotics, data-driven manufacturing, AI factory planning and circularity were discussed. Next, use cases were highlighted from VBTI and Salvia BioElectronics, which provided a clear picture of possible applications of AI in manufacturing environments.
The session concluded with a networking event where participants were able to continue conversations with experts and with each other, delve deeper and discuss next steps.
