3,383 curious visitors challenged, tested, and discussed the robots of tomorrow as the Danish Robot & Automation Expo (ROBOTBRAG 2025) unveiled the next chapter in technology
The scent of local Danish pastry mingled with the sound of buzzing robots and lively conversations as the AI-MATTERS partner Danish Technological Institute (DTI), together with the Danish Industrial Robot Association (DIRA), opened the doors to this year’s robot expo.
Never has the Danish Robot & Automation Expo (ROBOTBRAG) attracted so many — 3,383 participants streamed through the halls and tents, where the technology of the future was not just displayed but came to life in the hands of inquisitive guests.
With a record number of exhibitors and humanoid robots taking center stage, ROBOTBRAG 2025 was not just another event — it became a showcase window to a future that is already unfolding.
— The overwhelming turnout demonstrates that companies have truly understood the potential of robot and AI technology. They no longer come just to observe, but to find concrete solutions to their challenges, says Henrik Jacobsen, Director at DTI.
— ROBOTBRAG 2025 was simply electric. Companies brought real challenges and left with concrete ideas on how robotics can strengthen their businesses. That’s exactly why we hold this event — to bridge the gap between technology and practical application, he adds.
Record-breaking atmosphere and robot readiness
The record-breaking nature of the event was felt in every robot-filled corner. Lively discussions took place among robotic arms, floating balloons, and advanced cameras.
At the same time, both DIRA and DTI made their stance clear: Robot and AI technology is no longer a luxury but a necessity for the survival and growth of companies.
Yet only one in ten companies has a real strategy. ROBOTBRAG aims to change that — and the impact was noticeable.

From sci-fi to reality
One of the major attractions was a genuine humanoid robot, the Unitree G1, which made its first appearance on Danish soil at the robot festival.
The robot greeted guests, balanced, and sent students, companies, and specialists into deep thought: Is this the colleague of the future?
— We are on the threshold of the next major technological leap, explains Henrik Jacobsen.
— Humanoid robots can revolutionize industries facing labor shortages, but we must be proactive. It’s not just about buying the technology—it’s about creating the right framework for collaboration between humans and these new robot colleagues.broader manufacturing landscape. You can still see the demonstrator in action until this Friday, April 4th, and connect with the teams behind this initiative at Hall 8, Stand D34.

Eyes on both the sky and everyday life
But ROBOTBRAG was not just about humanoid robots: There were high-flying robots and fast robots. Quality-assurance cameras, advanced AI, and emerging startups. Robots for everything from routine tasks to space exploration. Microalgae that have been to space, a stratospheric balloon ready for the Arctic, and a compelling presentation by China expert Christina Boutrup, who drove home the point: Development is moving fast — and we must keep up!
— We shouldn’t be afraid of development, but we must be prepared, points out Henrik Jacobsen.
— The companies already building their robot preparedness now will be strongest in the future—no matter what challenges may come. That was exactly the message we wanted to convey with ROBOTBRAG 2025.
