Service description

We demonstrate, test, and evaluate generative AI chatbots and large language models (LLMs) for automated industrial robot code generation and natural language programming. By prompting the AI with plain text task descriptions and uploading technical API documentation, users generate syntax correct motion routines (URScript, RAPID, KRL, or Python). The purpose is to enable manufacturing SMEs, robot integrators, and shop floor operators to cut robot programming time by up to 60 percent, eliminate syntax errors, and accelerate flexible automation retooling.

Expected results:

A documented test of generative AI-supported robot programming, including generated code examples, evaluation of efficiency and usability, and recommendations for further application, validation, or integration into robot development workflows.

Methodology:

The service is delivered as a test and demonstration process including setup of the generative AI programming environment, use of natural-language prompts and relevant documentation, generation and evaluation of robot code, assessment of usability and code quality, and delivery of documented findings and recommendations.
