Safety Testing of Collaborative Robot Solutions

Safety-test

Service description

The service provides ISO/TS 15066 safety testing, risk assessment, and guidance for companies that need to document the safety of industrial collaborative robot (cobot) applications. Through technical sparring on mechanical design, safety-rated monitored stop limits, and precise transient/quasi-static force and pressure measurements in the SafetyLabb, the service delivers an essential basis for safe human-robot collaboration (HRC) and CE marking compliance under the EU Machinery Directive/Regulation. The purpose is to help manufacturers and integrators validate that their AI-driven or automated robot cells operate safely and meet all relevant industrial safety standards.

Expected results:

Documentation of safety-related measurements and assessments for the collaborative robot solution, including recommendations for safe implementation and input to the CE marking process.

Methodology:

The service is delivered as a safety testing and guidance process including review of the specific robot solution, measurement of force and pressure in the SafetyLabb, assessment of safety conditions, and delivery of documented results and recommendations for CE marking and safe implementation.

Target:

Manufacturing, Factory-Level Optimisation, Human-Robot Interaction, Robotics and automation, Other industrial sectors with collaborative robot solutions
