At Eindhoven University of Technology (Technische Universiteit Eindhoven), we don’t just solve today’s (manufacturing) challenges. We look ahead to the questions of tomorrow, shaping the future through people, technology, and science.

The Robotics (RBT) TU/e turns cutting-edge research into practice, partnering with industry to tackle both complex manufacturing needs and broader societal challenges.
Our mission: to create intelligent, adaptive robots that can thrive in the open world where variation, uncertainty, and ambiguity are the rule, not the exception.

TU/e is proud to contribute to European projects like AI MATTERS EU. Together with Brainport Industries and TNO, we form the Dutch Node and we help drive innovation for SMEs and high-tech manufacturers.

Our goal in AI-MATTERS:
Advancing intelligent robotics solutions for flexible, resilient, and human-centered production, while pioneering a systems engineering approach where World Models capture the knowledge of environments and tasks, providing the backbone for next-generation robot architectures.

Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e)

Our key focus areas:

  • Human-Robot Collaboration: Programming safe, intuitive cobots that adapt to dynamic human workflows.
  • Adaptive & Open-World Robotics: Enabling robots to operate beyond fixed setups, learning from variations in environment and tasks.
  • World Models & Systems Engineering: Structuring robotics architectures around knowledge capture, representation, and reasoning for long-term reliability.
