Testing and improving autonomous navigation systems

The performance of autonomous navigation strategies against different use cases will be assessed. The proposal and initial evaluation of alternative, complementary or improved solutions to maximize the capabilities and performance of the system under study is also considered.
Two possibilities are available:

  • the use of real machines or robotic platforms existing in the TEF or brought in by the customer
  • the use of synthetic environments for the evaluation, planning and adjustment of new navigation strategies. It provides a virtual environment where users can simulate and visualize complex robotic systems, including robots, sensors, and their interactions with the environment
