AI for process optimization with collaborative robot

Service description

The service aims at integrating collaborative robots into the industry of surface finishing. It consists of automating the large surfaces machining that have geometric variations in all three directions of Cartesian space. A hybrid approach is proposed: using 3D scanning for virtual surface reconstruction, guiding the robot in subsequent machining operations and generating appropriate AI algorithms to generate suitable robot trajectory lines depending on tool characteristics of the robot wrist (size and process parameters such as feed rate).
Expected results: AI-base solution able to: 1) correct surface detection 2) Autonomous trajectory generation 3) Self-identification of defects on machining activities
